State Fair Fun at Playland Arcade
A Memorable Minnesota State Fair
Since the mid-1950’s, American Amusement Arcades (AAA) has operated Playland Arcade, located at the corner of Nelson & Carnes, at the Minnesota State Fair. The 2025 “Great Minnesota Get-Together” was the 5th best-attended fair ever with a total attendance of 1,940,869!
Our Lieberman/AAA team members worked hard to assemble over 80 arcade games prior to the start of the fair. Many team members also helped out by working service shifts and redemption counter shifts all 12 days of the fair.
Games and prizes that were huge hits this year at the fair:
- Mini Taj Mahal – Colorful and bright claw machine where players can win a large roll worth a certain number of tickets to redeem at the prize counter.
- Labubus – Yes, we had real ones! Labubus were placed in a couple of different prize merchandisers, one inside the arcade and one facing the street.
- Claw Frenzy – Features 3 claws in one machine. All three claws drop simultaneously, offering up the chance to win up to 3 prizes in a single play.
- The Wizard of Oz – Spin the gigantic crystal ball to enter the Land of Oz. Collect iconic redeemable character cards.
- Angry Birds BOOM! – Players launch Red and Chuck to rack up points by unleashing maximum mayhem and chaos.
- Zoltar – Returned to the arcade after its 2024 debut to tell player’s fortunes.
