Local Dart Players Win Thousands At Tournament of Champions
The annual Tournament of Champions (TOC) was held October 1-4, 2022 at the KCI Expo Center in Kansas City. This highly coveted dart event is hosted by Partners Promoting Darts (PPD). Several Minnesota dart players from our American Amusement Arcades (AAA) leagues competed and won.
Top AAA Winners at 2022 TOC
Congratulations to AAA’s Abby Spott (and her South Dakota partner Hunter Smith) for winning 1st place in the 2022 Women’s Elite Finale, the most competitive division that the TOC offers! Both women won $10,000 each. Abby took home this title in 2019 as well. She also took 1st place in the Saturday Doubles Division 1 event with Illinois partner Jeff Paulsen. In the Men’s Elite Finale, Jake Schreiber took 8th place with Missouri partner Tyler Holmes.
AAA’s Roger Romero and Tricia Romero, along with Missouri partner Jules Vandongen, won 1st place in the Monday Triples Division 1 event. Another 1st place for a Triples event was Geoff Berning, Simon Anderson, and Troy Hughes. The trio won the Sunday Triples Division 3 event.

Qualify to Play at TOC in 2023
The TOC is a coveted tournament for dart competition. Throughout the year, players can earn points for league and tournament participation to qualify for a voucher for entrance into the TOC. AAA is happy to be a member of PPD. We offer traveling, in-house, and remote dart league competition in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area. AAA also hosts several TOC qualifying dart tournaments throughout the year.
