Minnesota State Fair Operator of “Playland Arcade” Now Offering Opportunity To Buy Or Rent Your Favorite Games For Your Home
With the cancellation of the Minnesota State Fair, fans do not have to miss their annual trip to the Playland Arcade… now they can enjoy some of their favorite arcade games at home!
“We were staring at a warehouse full of equipment and came up with a win-win scenario,” said Playland co-owner Dan Lieberman. Customers can enjoy a game in the comfort of their home and we can generate income to support our company. Lieberman Companies/American Amusement Arcades, Playland’s parent company, also has locations in bars, restaurants, and bowling centers which have been severely impacted by COVID-19.
Games are available to rent for a minimum of 2 months or to purchase. There is even a rent-to-own option on certain products. Favorites such as Golden Tee, Tornado Foosball, Ms. Pac-Man, Valley pool tables, and Arachnid darts will be in high demand.
The Playland Arcade Experience
Playland, located at the intersection of Carnes and Nelson, is the oldest and largest arcade at the Minnesota State Fair. The company has operated the arcade since the 1950’s. Each summer the space jumps to life as 80 of the most current arcade games are moved in and arranged for the optimal player experience.
Over the past 4 years, Lieberman Companies/American Amusement Arcades has brought the Playland experience to local malls, opening at Eden Prairie Center, Rosedale Center, Burnsville Center, and Northtown Mall in Blaine. The mall stores are mini versions of Playland Arcade.
