State Pool and Dart Tournament Hits Canterbury

1st place Mixed Cricket & 501 at MOMA Darts 2018

The 38th Annual MOMA State Pool Tournament and the 33rd Annual MOMA State Dart Tournament were held January 24-28, 2018. Players from all across Minnesota competed in the multi-day event at Canterbury Park in Shakopee.

AAA Winners at MOMA State

As a member of MOMA, American Amusement Arcades (AAA) had numerous players compete in the tournament. Several dart league players won 1st place including Amanda Anderson (Doc’s) & Mark Melius (Blainbrook) in Mixed Cricket Level 2 and Mixed 501 Level 2, Chuck Ranallo & Pete Benecke (both Blainbrook players) in 501 Doubles Level 2, and Miesh (Boondox players Aaron Vogt, Josh Feilen, Josh Weber, and Tony Taplin) in Cricket Team Level 4. AAA also had a two 2nd place finishes in the pool tournament: Robb Bubendorf in the 8-Ball Singles A Division and Christie Lerum in the 9-Ball Women’s Division. Both play pool leagues at Shooter’s Billiards. Congratulations to all of our AAA winners at MOMA!

MOMA’s Charitable Contributions

MOMA raises money each year to donate to charities. This year, they donated the money to Hope Chest for breast cancer awareness and Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors. The association also raised money for the MOMA Scholarship Fund. Each year, MOMA gives awards to college-bound students with ties to the industry. Learn more about MOMA.
